Do I have to be physically fit for your adventures?
The difficulty of each adventure varies. This information is listed in the Adventures tab. We work to customize tours according to the fitness levels of the participants. Tours can range from easy walks and scenic drives, to rigorous hiking and water activities.
How many people will be on my tour?
Each adventure has a maximum of 5 participants to allow the trip to be more personal and catered to you. If you are booking for two or more people and wish the tour to be yours exclusively, please make a note of this in the reservations form.
How far in advance should I book my tour?
We recommend you book a tour at least 3-4 weeks in advance. Providing a range of possible dates on your registration form will also increase your chances that we will have a date available for you.
What will I need to bring?
For each adventure, you'll need to bring sturdy walking shoes, and clothes you can get wet (board shorts, swim wear, etc.). Since on many trips we are walking through shallow streams it is very helpful to have waterproof shoes such as Teva's, Keen's or even simple reef shoes. Water, snacks, towels, sunscreen, and other supplies will be provided. To minimize the use of disposable plastic, we encourage you to bring reusable water bottles if you have them.
What about meals?
All of our adventures are all-inclusive, with a variety of snacks, beverages, and meals. Rather than serving bland sandwiches and chips as most tour companies do, at No Ka Oi Adventures we enjoy our meals in locally-owned restaurants with a variety of options. We will ask you about any dietary restrictions and preferences during your tour, and do our best to make sure your needs are met.
What if there is an accident and I get hurt?
As is the case with other such companies, all participants will need to sign a Release of Liability form.
What is the preferred method of payment?
The preferred method of payment is cash, payable the morning of your tour. If you prefer, you may prepay using Visa or MasterCard. I don't require a deposit to reserve a date.
Is gratuity included in the price?
Well, that is for you to decide. If you believe we provided a quality tour, leaving a gratuity is customary and a great way to show your appreciation.
